20 weeks

Well, I've made it: 20 weeks, the halfway point! This pregnancy has definitely been the hardest seeing as it's the only time I've been working AND coming home to young kids. But it's also gone the fastest.

For those who haven 't heard, we had our 18 week ultrasound and confirmed the addition of a third boy to our family!

A lot of people assume I'm disappointed, but with these faces surrounding me every day, how can I be? =) The boys (including Landon) have so much fun running, wrestling, and playing sports together that I know they'll love adding another member to the club. And it definitely cements my position as treasured queen of the house.

It's been such a joy to talk to Trenton and Sawyer about their little brother. They think it's so fun to look at his ultrasound pictures and point to each and every one calling out "brother" and "tummy." They also enjoy putting in their own ideas for names - such as Phineus and Ferb - wonder where they got those ideas!

At one point, Landon told Trenton one of our name ideas and he responded with a solemn look, "No, I like Kevin better." No clue where that name came from but it was funny to see him take his involvement so seriously. Now whenever we ask his brother's name, he'll answer correctly, but immediately tack Kevin on the end!!

And yes, we have chosen a name =)

Kellen Jesse

I am SO excited to finally have a name for this little person inside me, who moves around and kicks with abandon. Now we can talk about him without all the abstract terms and the boys can start practicing the pronunciation, which by the way is hysterical. Not sure anyone else would even understand what they're saying!

In general, we're all having a lot of fun experiencing this pregnancy. The boys bring a whole new perspective and enthusiasm to the process. And in just over four months, we'll welcome Kellen into this crazy family. Woo hoo!!
