About half an hour away in Green Bluff, WA is a community of farms that offer fun festivals, little gift shops, and plenty of you-pick-it fruit and vegetables. Right now it's cherry season, so my mom and her friends took the boys to try it out. They let you eat as much as you want right off the trees and then you pay for whatever you want to bring home. The boys learned how to chew around the pit and then spit it right in the grass, which of course they thought was the coolest thing ever.
We've also been to the lake four times already! The boys love playing in the sand and have even been brave enough to dunk in the waves. In between, they go for rides on the boat with Pops - Sawyer is still not sure about the whole thing. He asks to go every time, but once he's out there he starts asking us to go slow and one time he even said, "I want to take a nap." It's so funny and yet he'll ask to go out again. Trenton, on the other hand, acts like he was born on a boat. He sits up front by himself, unafraid of the speed or the constant bumping of the waves. He loves to hold the flag when someone is in the water or walk to the edge to say hi while they swim back to the tube. I'm so excited to see him learn how to wakeboard now that we live near a lake!
It's also been nice to let the boys play outside when they ask without worrying about the heat. They love swinging together on the bench out in the trees and it's really sweet because you can hear them just talking to each other oblivious to the rest of the world.
And finally, baby Kellen face ... we bought him a new floor mat because everything we own is in AZ still. The poor kid was spending all his time on a blanket with one toy or in his carseat. Little did I know that his brothers would love the new toy too!
