C is for Circus ... and Carnival!

Mimi and Pops scored some free children's tickets to the local Shriner's circus and agreed to take the boys, despite the freezing rain. They saw tigers, bears, acrobats, and of course Sawyer's favorite: elephants!! Mimi also let them split some cotton candy, which they loved, especially since it meant they stayed up until 11 at night on a sugar high.

Then within a couple weeks, we used a Groupon (YAY for Groupons!) and for $32 all four of us got unlimited rides at Riverfront Park and IMAX tickets. We spent seven hours there!!

The boys favorite ride was the planes.
They loved that they could control going up and down; I'm sure it really felt like flying to them!

After a few hours of rides and a picnic lunch, the boys went to the IMAX where Sawyer got a forty minute nap and Landon and Trenton enjoyed a movie about orangutans and elephants. Even though we didn't plan it that way, the nap was just what Sawyer needed to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, which started with sno cones and the carousel. We took that circle a good hundred times at least =)

Another perk of our day pass was a small 9 hole mini golf course. It was the perfect first try for the boys since it didn't cost anything! It was so funny watching the boys try to hold the club.

It was at this point, Kellen took his afternoon nap!

And then we finished the day with another whole round of rides.
Trenton loved the bumper cars, especially since he got to drive by himself and go after his dad!

I lost count of the number of rides we went on in one day,
but I'd say we definitely got our money's worth.
