Milestones

Trenton had his last day of preschool. It's so weird to think that next year, I'll be taking him to school every day!! I'm not ready for that. I love having my kids home with me during the day and it's going to be hard to let one of them go. Plus, selfishly, I like my lazy mornings with nowhere to be!

Of course, I had to take a couple pictures of him on his last day. He looks so grown up.

The next night, we had preschool graduation. The school did a great job keeping it short and sweet. His class performed two songs, got their diplomas, and then performed two more songs with all of the classes together. Caitlyn and I were laughing non-stop at the adorable antics of Trenton and even the other kids on stage as they enthusiastically completed all their hand motions and sang as loud as possible. Here's my favorite song of the night:

Even Kellen enjoyed rocking out to the music!

When it was diploma time, they called each kid by name and the teacher handed out a certificate and a hug. Every time another student was called, the ones left on the risers got visibly more anxious. Trenton was the last one called and his face was so funny!! Almost like, what if they don't call my name? I caught the exact moment Principal Kim finally said, "Trenton Anderson." I love his look that says, "that's me!"

After the program, we had cake and Trenton begged me to let him take Sawyer to his classroom. It was so precious to see how proud Trenton was and how he enjoyed showing his brother everything in the room. Moments like these, when they're best friends, bring me such joy.

Back at home, we had to get a special picture with mommy. Oh, how I love this kid.

And as my first gets ready to start elementary school, my youngest is out to prove he doesn't care how big of shoes he has to fill.

Trenton walked at 14 months, Sawyer walked at 12 months, and Kellen waited until he was 15 months and ten days to grace us with his skills. I'm pretty sure he had the ability, but not the desire because yesterday when he decided to walk across the kitchen floor without one fall, he cackled with delight as if laughing at us for begging him to walk for so long. He held the power and he wanted us to know it =)

I caught the first trek on camera, but I think this video is funnier. Landon started doing this move to make Kellen laugh and for the rest of the night he thought it was extremely fun to mimic; so much so that he stopped mid stride to break it out!
