Only the Beginning

Spring Sports have begun in the Anderson house! Saturday mornings start with Sawyer's mini soccer camp run by the Northern Idaho college soccer players. It's a pretty cool set up where they switch coaches every week and do 40 minutes of drills and then a 20 minute scrimmage. Sawyer is one of the strongest players because we had him on a Post Falls league last summer, but he's still a little timid sometimes. Even so, he scored two goals and then passed to a teammate for their third score. In typical sweet Sawyer fashion, he told us he passed because that kid hadn't gotten the ball yet.

Goal Number One

Then right from soccer, we head to Trenton's T ball game. To Landon's chagrin, he landed on the Yankees team for his first year. According to him, 83% of all boys pick their favorite baseball team based on their first Little League assignment. (Yes, he often makes up random statistics to prove a point!) I had no clue Little League was so involved either! I started shopping for used baseball pants to save money, only to get an email stating the exact color required for his pants, socks, and belt. To which I exclaimed, "he needs a belt?!"

Trenton is excited, though, to try out this new sport and doesn't have any of the parental qualms we're dealing with. He got to hit and field a ball today and even took time (not coach-approved mind you) to leave his position mid-game to ask if we could go out for frozen yogurt after the game!

And here's Kellen who didn't want to be left out of the picture taking =)
