Rain was predicted for Saturday, but it held off for half the day and we were able to fit in a trip to Hungry Horse Dam (of course accompanied by as many dam jokes as Landon could mentally create!)
I got cold quickly, so I made sure we took some great pictures, gazed at the amazing scene and then jumped back in the car. For the rest of the day, Landon kept saying we didn't spend near enough time at the dam! hahaha Literally, this is a man who could never step foot in an amusement park again and be happy.
The rest of the day was laid back with the rain limiting our outdoor activities. We drank coffee at Montana Coffee Traders, shopped antiques at a local shop, ate lunch at the tiny Elkhorn Grill, looked for souvenirs and homemade pie at the Huckleberry Patch, and ended the night with a movie in the cabin. It was so relaxing.
The greatest part of the day, though, was watching Kellen become more comfortable and animated. He's such a suspicious guy who likes to study his surroundings and by Saturday he was ready to party. (I think he wanted us to buy this crazy chair from the antique store lol he couldn't stop petting it!!)
Then that night, while trying to get these two crazy monkeys to calm down and go to sleep, I had to search for Kellen who had disappeared ...
I found him cuddling with Grandpa. How incredibly precious is this??
(I told him to close his eyes and pretend to sleep.)
And then he decided he was just going to kick Mom mom out and stay there for the night. =)
There is just nothing in this world that compares to a grandparent.
