SUCCESS

One week, to the day, and Trenton is now asking to go to the bathroom!! I cannot tell you how thrilling this is! We've had our share of accidents (see Landon's blog especially) and plenty of beeping timers every fifteen minutes. Now, he thinks it's fun =) He says "Mom pee" and runs down the hall giggling. I let him into the bathroom and help him get his undies off and then he climbs on the toilet all by himself. My mom told me about the sitting backwards thing and it works wonderfully. He has a more stable seat on the narrow front and more room to aim at the wide bowl =) That makes me happy; I've cleaned up enough pee on the carpet this week, I don't want to be scrubbing my bathroom tile everytime he goes! Can I just say, I had been dreading this week terribly, and now that it's over, it wasn't that bad.

Congrats!!! I read Landon's blog and I COULDN'T even imagine having to clean up a mess like that. Where do you even start?!?! Well at least you got a GREAT story for later in his life. And it's good to know it's not that bad...I've so been dreading it!

HAHA!! I just trained our little guy - Nolan - and he sits backwards too!! He was too afraid to go on the "big potty" and so we started doing that . . . so much nicer than the mess made otherwise. :) Congrats!!!
