February, March, and April...come and gone

Valentine's Day has never been a holiday Landon and I celebrate, but this year was his first one with a daughter. And that made a difference :) Elliot got her first rose and balloon from her daddy.

Then, Uncle Chris, Aunt Stephanie, and Kynsley came for a visit and we tried to get a cousins picture. Kynsley was not too sure about getting stuck next to these strangers for a picture hahaha

But when it was just her and Elliot on Mimi's lap, she warmed up.

February 22nd, Baby Kellen Face turned 4. 

This was the night before his birthday, my last picture with my 3 year old.

The next morning, we opened presents from Mom Mom and Grandpa. His grin is so contagious!

He picked Jamms Frozen Yogurt for his family activity, despite two older brothers begging for Triple Play Activity Center. He's starting to think for himself and not cave to their whims :) We let them get three toppings for the "special occasion" and they responded by running crazy in the nearby grass immediately after finishing.

March 3rd, Elliot turned ten months old. 

She was pretty proud of her standing abilities, but still had no desire to walk.

We bundled up for a few park outings. The snow was gone and we were anxious to get outside, but it was still pretty chilly!

Not sure who started this, but it must be the "tough older brother" pose :)

Basketball season started and the boys quickly became obsessed, collecting basketball cards instead of football, playing pickup games in their bedroom with a nerf hoop, and asking Dad for scores on college games.

At the end of March, we had the Ramsey Science Fair and conferences. Trenton scored second place this year! He was thrilled. Mrs. Inlow is amazed with his reading, math, and social studies skills, but told him he needs to work on not talking to his neighbor when he finishes his work. Wonder where he gets that from?!

Mrs. Hansen had all praise for Sawyer. Her only caution was his tendency to help kids with the answers or with their writing, thinking he was just being nice! His journal is repeatedly used for an example of good writing and his math work is always a step ahead. Like when she asked for addition facts to ten and instead of 5+5, he wrote 3+5+2. They make us look like such good parents ;-)

April 3rd, Elliot turned 11 months old. 

Almost one year since our baby girl joined the family.

She has only two teeth still; I call them her inverted bunny teeth. 

She loves to show them off when she smiles.

April ended with Easter. Mimi came with us to the community event at the elementary school since Landon had to work. It was a fun morning with a candy hunt, bouncy houses, face painting, popcorn and hot dogs, balloon animals, and a fire truck. Plus, we were blessed with sunshine!

On Easter Sunday, we got together with two families for dinner and an egg hunt for the kids. Counting the babies, we had eight. This was our best attempt at a "group shot."

Elliot was hysterical; she hates the feel of grass. I sat her down by an egg and she couldn't decide if it was worth the texture to crawl for the treasure :)
