Sawyer talked a lot younger than Trenton and since then has been like a mini-me, repeating everything Trenton says. Sometimes, I don't give him enough credit as the younger child for what he comes up with. Well yesterday, he had me laughing hysterically on two separate occasions with some very creative thoughts!
First, while Landon was changing Kellen's diaper, both boys were watching and this exchange happened -
Trenton: Hims doesn't have a penis.
Landon: Yes he does, it just gets tucked in sometimes. See...
(Kellen starts crying as he gets wiped.)
Sawyer: Aww, hims crying because he doesn't have a penis.
And second ... when we potty trained the boys, we had them sit backwards on the toilet so they made less of a mess and plus they're too short to stand and reach the bowl anyway. Well, Sawyer has started standing now and he's very proud of his big-boy status. Later that night, while going pee, Sawyer looks at me and comments, very matter of fact, "Mom, I'm standing, look. You sit, but I learn you how to stand, ok?"
Seriously, how did I ever laugh before kids??
