Vacation in Idaho

We had the most amazing vacation! Trenton loved showing off his vocabulary and learned even more words while we were up there. He had a name for almost everyone (although it gave us a good laugh because he learned jack and niner the dogs before Pops or Aaron!). The cutest was Mimi, who he called a-mi. He learned right away that she was the sucker and would call for her when he wanted anything. He's started making sentences too. "Ami, please, side" for Mimi, please take me outside. He fell in love with the snow instantly and would have been content playing outside every day! One time he even went outside in his socks, only to come running back in ten minutes later begging me to take them off because his feet were wet and cold. His favorite thing to do was chomp on a snowball, so often throughout the trip he'd be in the car or in the house with a snowball in his bare hand. He was always willing to share a bite too :-) The other funny thing on this trip was how much he wanted to give everyone kisses, and always on the lips. If you gave him a cheek, he would grab your face and turn it to kiss you on the lips. It became a game to turn your cheek when he wanted a kiss just so we could all laugh as he grabbed the person's face with both hands and turned it the right way.




Sawyer also charmed everyone with his giggle and open-mouth smile. It was the first time my extended family got to see him, so it was very special. He didn't seem to care about the snow, but that's probably because he was always dressed in layers, a hat, and swaddled in blankets to stay warm :-) Here's a slideshow of our trip.
